15 Grand Entrances That Make a Statement with Moulding

Jan 24, 2020

MAKING A STATEMENT

Grand entrances can be daunting to decorate. Endless expanses of wall, double height ceilings, and stairways that seemingly stretch to heaven are not the easiest elements to pull together. What the pros know, however, is that when moulding elements like door casings, baseboards, and crown moulding are incorporated into the design of a large space, the room appears more structured, more pleasing to the eye, and of greater character.

THE POWER OF MOULDING

Today I’ve put together a slideshow of 15 opulent entrances that demonstrate the power of moulding to make a luxurious statement. Whether the trim is on the ceiling, the walls, or both,— each designer allows the room’s moulding to lead an impactful role in the overall design of the room. As you click through the slides, notice the moulding, and then try to visualize the space without it. You’ll discover that these entrances would be nowhere nearly as dramatic and beautiful without their gorgeous architectural trim!
